The insurance industry has already made great strides in its digital transformation, 4 out of 5 interactions being digital today. However, there is still a huge disconnect between the simplicity and speed customers have come to expect, and today’s reality, especially when it comes to the claims handling process.

Insurers have improved their digital “front-office” experience, like the onboarding processes, but there is still a lot of manual processing going on for the “back-office” operations. Behind the scenes there is still a human workforce involved, carrying out repetitive and labor-intensive tasks such as classification (indexation) and routing, data capture and validation. These lead to time-consuming and error-prone processes.

In November 2019, we had the opportunity to showcase our solution to automate claims processing at DIA Munich 2019.
